The date of proof will be stamped on the barrel flats along with proof marks, serial number, gauge and shell length in milimeters. Choke may be stamped on the flats or under side of the barrels(moot since barrels are shortened). A table showing a letter and number which represents the date oef proofd (which would normally be date of manufacture) is located at: I am guessing that your shotgun was manufactured in the 60's or 70's.

IIRC, Victor Sarasqueta went out of business in the late 80's. If your need interpretation of the stampings on the barrel flats barrel under side, post a clear readable picture and I'lluse what little knowledge to try and explain the markings.

I am trying to find the date and model of shot gun serial NO: 220595. I have a book called Spanish Best by Terry Wieland 2nd edition. But it makes limited referance to serial numbers-dates of manufacture or models.

This manufacturer closed their doors in 1981. Would you know where I might scource serial NO: - Dates of manufacture and perhaps some form of model identification. Regards Kevscorner.
